Nationalist Party held a parliamentary reform seminar in Chiayi County where party leader Eric Chu, KMT legislators such as Wang Yu-min, Weng Hsiao-ling, Hsu Yu-chen, and others went to explain the reform in a DPP stronghold. The crowd overflowed with enthusiasm and support for the legislation. Weng Hsiao-ling emphasized that the DPP's opposition to reforms stems from fear of exposing corruption and incompetence in their government. Despite anticipated opposition measures, the KMT remains undaunted in its duty to supervise the government and combat official misconduct.
