Due to an underground cable fault, 655 households in the area around Ruiguang Road, Jiangnan Street, Yangguang Street, and Ruihu Street in Neihu District, Taipei, experienced a power outage. Taipower quickly restored power to 65% of the affected households (430 out of 655) within 3 minutes by rerouting the power supply. The rest of the households were fully restored within an hour. Media personality Yao Huizhen was recording when the blackout occurred. Taipower dispatched personnel to the scene for repairs, but the underground cable inspection required further work due to heavy traffic during rush hour. Taipower will continue maintenance and repair work in the area.
