During the examination of the legislative proposal on parliamentary reform, Taiwan's lawmaker Lee Bo-yi expressed support for the review case, criticizing the vague definitions in the proposed laws as hindering the country's development and making international enterprises hesitant to invest in Taiwan due to fears of confidential information leaks. He denounced the collaboration between the blue and white parties as damaging the country's constitutional separation of powers, and highlighted concerns about national security due to expanded legislative powers. Taiwan's Defense Minister also warned that allowing access to confidential information through the proposed laws could lead to security risks. Lee Bo-yi cited instances of confidentiality breaches and emphasized the need to reject the legislation to safeguard Taiwan's interests. He urged for improved public infrastructure around TSMC's new facility in Kaohsiung to attract more investments, contrasting it with the potential negative impacts of the proposed laws on the government's national development plans.
