According to a report from China Times News, in the early hours of June 23rd, a man surnamed Zhong in Taichung was caught drunk driving a Tiffany Blue McLaren 570S supercar, refused to undergo testing, and was fined 180,000 by the police. The license plate was removed on the spot, and Zhong has been unreachable since leaving the scene. The police are currently attempting to contact him to have the car removed. The McLaren, a 570S coupe model from 2018 worth 10.88 million, has caused quite a stir due to its abandonment and the owner's disappearance.

Former head coach of Taiwan's men's basketball team, Zhang Xuelei, has passed away at the age of 61. He was a former player who represented China in the 1988 Seoul Olympics before later moving to Singapore and eventually joining Taiwan's CBA team. Zhang led the SBL Yulon Luxgen team to a championship during his seven seasons as head coach and also served as Taiwan's men's basketball head coach in the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. His passing has been confirmed by current SBL Yulon Luxgen assistant coach Wei Yongtai, who praised Zhang's leadership skills and caring nature towards his players.
