Breaking News: CPC Announces a Decrease of 0.1 Yuan in Gasoline and Diesel Prices Starting Tomorrow

Reported 8 months ago

CPC announced that starting tomorrow, gasoline and diesel prices will each decrease by 0.1 yuan per liter. The new retail prices will be 29.2 yuan per liter for 92 unleaded gasoline, 30.7 yuan per liter for 95 unleaded gasoline, 32.7 yuan per liter for 98 unleaded gasoline, and 26.7 yuan per liter for super diesel. Due to the dual stabilization mechanism being activated this week, gasoline and diesel prices will absorb 2.2 yuan and 3.6 yuan. Despite the original adjustment principles suggesting an increase of 2.1 yuan and 3.5 yuan, CPC decided to keep the prices lower than neighboring Asian countries by absorbing 2.0 yuan and 3.4 yuan. As a result of the double stabilization mechanism, both gasoline and diesel will absorb 2.2 yuan and 3.6 yuan, leading to a reduction of 0.1 yuan per liter in domestic gasoline and diesel prices.

KMT Property Regulations Spark White Camp Internal Strife, Ko Wen-je Mocks Huang Kuo-chang as 'Self-Immolation': Better Joining KMT

Reported 8 months ago

On June 16, 2024, Ko Wen-je criticized Huang Kuo-chang for 'self-immolating.' The Legislative Yuan voted on the KMT's proposal for party property regulations, attempting to recover the 16 billion assets of the now-dissolved Revolutionary Alliance, but all 8 MP legislators from the People's Party were absent. This decision led to internal dissatisfaction within the party, with supporters even calling to express their anger. Ko Wen-je suggested Huang should join the KMT since he is only causing trouble. He also mentioned that the KMT's mobilization actually helps the DPP, as their reasoning is flawed and only results in more opposition. The debate on the Financial Facilities Act will likely extend beyond this session, with both the KMT and People's Party proposing poorly written versions that could distort the country's finances.
