A man surnamed Chen was taken in for injuring another person at a business hotel in Neihu due to a dispute while using drugs. Chen, 27, and Wu, 33, got into an argument while consuming drugs this morning when Chen slashed Wu's right shoulder and hand with a knife. Police found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and zipper bags at the scene and are investigating the incident as a drug crime. Wu was taken to hospital with injuries but is conscious. Further investigations are ongoing.

A tragic fire broke out on Yanshou Street in Tucheng on June 13, 2024, claiming three lives. On June 13, 2024, at 12:41 a.m., the police confiscated 1 Beretta M93R submachine gun, 1 Taurus pistol, 1 mobile phone, and surveillance equipment as evidence in their raid in Yilan, Taiwan. Among them, a 29-year-old man surnamed Zheng was trapped under iron sheeting on the 7th floor, and after 8 hours, firefighters finally removed his severely charred body. Even after the fire was extinguished around 4 a.m., the high internal temperature and collapsed iron sheets delayed the retrieval of Zheng's body until around 11 a.m. for further investigation.
