During patrol and household visits, the police in Haishan, New Taipei City, discovered suspicious activities in a community building on Zhongshan Road 2. After receiving information from the friendly reporting network established with the building management committee, the police formed a special team and conducted a raid on June 23 with a search warrant. They found 17 individuals, including Wang, with an MP5 submachine gun, various drugs, surveillance equipment, and over 500,000 NTD in cash. The property was leased by Wang's friend for illegal gambling and drug parties, with Wang trying to evade capture by throwing the gun to another building's canopy, which was still found by alert police. Wang and others were arrested for drug and weapon offenses and will be prosecuted, while efforts to trace the drug sources continue to eliminate such activities effectively.

After investigating and gathering intelligence on a male suspect surnamed Jiang in Miaoli, a special task force with Miaoli County Police Department seized 1 non-standard firearm and 7 bullets from Jiang's car, as well as 1 imitation gun, 12 modified bullets, 6 shotgun shells, gun parts, and modification tools from his workplace. Jiang, utilizing skills acquired at an auto repair shop, self-taught how to modify guns and ammunition using tools like electric drills and grinders. This case has been referred to Miaoli District Prosecutors Office for further investigation and prosecution.

An Ariton woman, Ashleigh Ableman, pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated child abuse and chemical endangerment of a child.
