A thief in Pingtung, Taiwan has been breaking into shops in the middle of the night by prying open roll-up doors and stealing cash, even going as far as breaking open piggy banks to take coins. In Pingtung, a man who was intoxicated rode his motorcycle to a police station with a packet of white powder, mistaking it for drugs, which turned out to be negative. Upset by the result, he threw hell money at the station. This was not his first incident, as he had done this before in 13 locations due to a bad mood from a failed relationship. He was sent to the district prosecutor's office for investigation.

On June 19th, 2024, an F-16V fighter jet at the Air Force's Fifth Squadron Hualien Base had to make an emergency landing as its landing gear could not retract after a test flight. The landing was safely executed with the use of a catching hook for added security. Another F-16AM aircraft at the same base also experienced landing gear issues during a test flight but managed to land safely following proper protocols. The runway was briefly closed, and both aircraft and personnel are reported safe. Further investigation and maintenance will be carried out to ensure aircraft safety.
