Major domestic IV fluid manufacturer Yong Feng Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd., holding a 70% market share, was ordered to shut down due to serious violations, causing a shortage of normal saline supply. A deadly fire broke out in a residence on Yanshou Road in Tucheng District, New Taipei City this morning, claiming the lives of three among five individuals present. It is suspected that the wife (59 years old) of the homeowner surnamed Xiao, their son surnamed Li (26 years old), and their daughter's boyfriend surnamed Zheng (29 years old) were unable to escape in time.
