Central News Agency reported that a fatal work safety accident occurred in Xigang, Tainan City! Around 9:06 am today (18th), a forklift overturned at a three-in-one courtyard in Xipu Village, Xinfuli. A man surnamed Chen, around 30 years old, was crushed under the forklift. After receiving the report, the Xigang Fire Brigade dispatched 2 trucks and 5 personnel for rescue. Despite efforts to extricate Chen, he was found without breath or heartbeat. Emergency CPR was performed, and he was rushed to An Nan Hospital in Tainan for treatment, but unfortunately, he could not be saved. Following being trapped beneath the forklift, Chen could not survive the severe injuries sustained.
