Taiwan Receives 14 M1 Tanks from the US, 38 more expected by the end of the year

The Taiwan Army has received 14 M1A2 main battle tanks from the US and personnel are training in the US for their deployment. A total of 38 M1A2 tanks are expected to arrive in Taiwan by the end of the year to enhance frontline defense capabilities. The tanks will be equipped with enhanced armor and protection to counter threats such as drones and landmines. Furthermore, plans to procure a total of 108 M1A2 tanks are in place to strengthen Taiwan's defense forces.
