In a hotel in the Yancheng District of Kaohsiung, three bodies—a man and two women—were found, suspected to have met online and checked in on the day of the Dragon Boat Festival. The male victim, a chef with thousands of followers, previously expressed negative thoughts and despite a friend from the north urgently reporting their concerns, they were unable to prevent the tragedy. The room appeared orderly with no signs of forced entry, and although prescription drugs were found, they were not in lethal doses. The deceased, from different regions and connected possibly through online friendship, left messages expressing dissatisfaction with their current situation. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of death.
