On June 7, 2024, the New Xing Police Sub-bureau received a tip about suspected illegal sexual transactions in a mixed residential and commercial building on Seven Wise Road in Qianjin. After days of investigation, they searched the premises on June 4 at 8 p.m. and caught the owner (29-year-old Xie), four female service workers, and one male client in the act. Evidence like earnings and schedules were confiscated. Xie advertised services online, coordinated liaisons, and charged NT$1,800 for partial sexual activities with additional fees. Xie faces charges, while the workers and client will be dealt with for violating social order laws. The police aim to eradicate such disguised massage parlors to improve community safety and living standards through continued law enforcement efforts and inspections.

To celebrate National Ocean Day, the Ocean Conservation Administration of the Ocean Affairs Council announced the 'Sea Heroes Marine Clean-up Conference' to be held on June 28 at the Peace Island Geological Park in Keelung City.
