A soldier from the Navy warship Ming Chuan fell into the sea and swam ashore seeking help. The Navy Fleet Command's Ming Chuan warship was on duty at sea when they found a 24-year-old soldier named Ou missing onboard. After over 3 hours, early on the 17th, Ou swam ashore seeking help, initially startling a local shipbuilding company which mistook him for a Chinese stowaway and alerted the police. Ou was discharged after a medical check. The Navy has dispatched personnel to provide psychological support, investigation, and determine the cause of the incident.
