The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced the 'Statistics of Causes of Death in 112th Year' on June 17, 2024. Transport accidents accounted for 43.4% of accident-related deaths in 112th year. Male deaths due to accidents were 4,921 (69.7%) while female deaths were 2,142 (30.3%) in the same year.

According to a report by the Ministry of National Defense, Taiwan's procurement of the US-made M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), capable of launching MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS), will be considered a strategic weapon once in service and integrated into the joint warfare command system, enhancing operational capabilities.
