Pet Store Owner Commits Suicide in Shop Due to Business Struggles

On June 26th, a 47-year-old man surnamed Dang committed suicide in his pet grooming shop in Xingyun Street, Neihu District, Taipei. Dang, a dog lover, spent over 4 million NT dollars on renovating the shop but faced difficulties in obtaining a business license due to the uncooperative 2nd-floor tenant. The financial pressures eventually led him to take his own life. Dang's girlfriend discovered his body in the shop after hearing dogs barking. Police confirmed the death as suicide with no signs of foul play.
