On June 16, 2024, at around 9:55 PM, a current army soldier was fatally attacked by a teenager in a shrimping field in Pingtung City. Despite stating that they did not want to elaborate on the case, the police reported that during a conflict between the soldier on vacation and the 17-year-old, the soldier was fatally attacked. The teenager has been arrested and detained by the juvenile court pending further investigation. The police will also increase nighttime inspections at shrimp fields, karaoke bars, and other places prone to security incidents to prevent similar occurrences.

On June 17, 2024, at 12:25 AM, a 44-year-old resident surnamed Tseng discovered an unexploded bomb in the storage room of his apartment in New Taipei City's Luzhou District.
