In an attempt to retaliate against the police successfully thwarting a scam, a fraud group created a fake image using his photo, claiming 'Officer Li earns 680,000 on first entry'. A woman in Wufeng received a video call from a scam group promising huge profits through investing in stocks via an app. When she sought verification from the police, officer Huang Keyuan took the call instead. The scam group immediately hung up but managed to obtain Huang's photo. The next day, they created a fake image to continue their scam and retaliate against the police for stopping their deception. Wufeng police are tracing the IP address and warning the public not to fall for it.

Due to intense convective cloud systems in the afternoon, heavy rainfall is affecting Taiwan, with landslides occurring in Hualien area.
