On June 19, 2024, in the morning, Taipei City Criminal Investigation Bureau and Xinyi Police Station officers went to the residence of celebrity Sun Peng's son Sun Anzuo in Beitou due to his possession of a firearm. They found and confiscated illegal items such as gunpowder and weapons. Sun Anzuo and his manager were brought to the Criminal Investigation Bureau for interrogation. Although they were initially scheduled to be transferred to Taipei Prosecutors' Office for further questioning in the afternoon, the manager's lawyer filed for a preliminary examination. The police searched Sun Anzuo's residence in Taipei; controversy arose when Sun Anzuo and his manager were found in possession of a firearm in the Xinyi district, prompting the investigation.
